Earlier this month with friends and family present, Don Jenkins celebrated his 60th year of curling at the Oshawa Curling Club.
Don has been curling since he was 13 yrs old and joined our club in the Fall of 1964.
He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1975 and later President in 1981.
Over these six decades, Don has seen the sport evolve, from clothing and equipment changes to the length of games to ice-making improvements, and through it all, his love for the game has remained unwavering. Without a doubt, he’s left a lasting mark on the Oshawa Curling Club—not only through his skill and successes, but also through the warmth and generosity he’s shown to everyone he’s met here.
